CA LEGO Samsonite (1961-1988)

Along with their US subsidiary, Samsonite of Canada Ltd. produced and distributed LEGO for the Canadian market from 1961 to 1988. Both countries initially produced the same line of sets, but when the dedicated LEGO plant opened in Colorado in 1965, the two countries began to curate their lines differently. While Samsonite dropped its US toy production in 1973, Samsonite of Canada continued their LEGO production, often with unique and fascinating differences from the rest of the world.
